A Note on Peace, Love & Happiness

A Note on Peace, Love & Happiness

peace, love, happiness

Freedom Friday!

Growing up in the 70’s, I must admit that I had absolutely NO clue when people would say, “Peace, Love & Happiness.” I had a life of happiness, my parents loved me and I had peace in my heart. Yes, I am one of those people who can say (for the most part) that I had a great a childhood. I am not saying that I was exempt from hardship, it was there, but I just did not focus on it as much.

It was not until my young adult years that I began to realize that not everyone was receiving the quality love they needed; some people lacked peace and did not know what true happiness was. In fact, I experienced several challenges that made me further realize that some people simply were not capable of providing any of these. And, for those who are able to provide it, they must always work to ensure that they are giving their best. Giving away peace, love and happiness is not an easy task but, it is a necessary one.

After suffering several life changing hardships, I learned that I must have Peace, Love and Happiness “By any means necessary!” And, here are three ways that I try to keep it:

Be Sincere – Be genuine when dealing with people and mean every word you speak over them and to them. Do not be that person who compliments someone and when they turn their back, you roll your eyes . Do not offer anyone false flattery by letting them know why your complimenting them. When I compliment people, I find something specific to highlight.

Know what Love Is – Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Now, that’s Bible.

Do not seek revenge – When someone wrongs you, do not spend your energy focusing on returning the negative gesture. Know that everything we do is returned unto us and, that is why it is important to ensure that we are doing more good than the reverse. Besides, what a waste of energy that will ultimately destroy you!

Inwardly, we all need to search our hearts and minds and make a conscious decision to offer this world more peace, more love and definitely more happiness. Be the change…

Move Forward In Righteousness XOXO ♥

Peace, Love, and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOUL! Lol – You reminded me of that 🙂 Ha Revenge is a biggie – it’s so poisonous for ones’ soul but we cling to it during moments of extreme hurt and rage.. Being angry and holding on to ish is more hurtful to ourselves than anyone else. Have a great weekend Yulunda! -Iva
