Blowing out someone else’s candle or light!

Blowing out someone else’s candle or light!

“Blowing out someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine brighter…”-Anon

The biggest lie and misconception is believing that if you dull someone else’s shine or dim their light that you will shine brighter. What actually happens is you end up working much harder to bring light to the place that needs it the most. The truth is, you have to join forces with the positive lights of other’s in order to really make this world bright.

I remember growing up in the church singing, “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” Knowing good and well that if all of the little kids (who had hearts after God) would allow their lights to shine, there would be a BIG impact of light and people would notice and be led by the light (God).

You will never build yourself up by tearing someone down (dimming their lights) and, trying to dim the light of another will only grow the spirit of jealously that is rooted in you. You will destroy your chance at success before you even allow yourself to get started in the right direction.

If you see someone doing well, you need to make yourself smile (it becomes a habit) and wish them the absolute best. The Universe (God) will honor your joy and allow the same good to reside in your life. The success of another (the light) is a clue that what God has for other’s He surely has for you. Pursue your goals and dreams, look for opportunities to encourage another and believe by faith that your turn is just around the corner.

Move Forward In RIGHTeousness XOXO♥
