Yes, it is Friday, so, let’s think on those things that bring us life and ultimately, freedom!
This past weekend, I had an opportunity to spend some time with several women (of all ages) for a Pre-Fall Celebration. It was a wonderful experience, and I am not saying that because the hostess’ husband served us as the queens we are, I am saying it because it was very refreshing to be around a group of mature woman with wisdom, positivity and hope.
As we were talking about world issues, the main point that chimed out of the mouths of many is that the world is full of good people and that goodness is all around us. The challenge is, we never hear about it as often as we do the opposite — the negative. And, we do not stop long enough to see all of the good playing out in “our” world.
I would like to invite each of you to think of that one song that you can keep at the forefront of your mind to remind you of the greatness that is always around. For me, this is the song I hold near to my heart and I have revised it to make it more inclusive:
“We see trees of green, red roses too. We see them bloom, for me and you. And we must think to ourselves, what a wonderful world.”
“We see skies of blue, and clouds of white. The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night. And we think to ourselves, what a wonderful world.”
“We see the colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky. Are also on the faces, of people going by, we see friends shaking hands. Saying, “How do you do?” They’re really saying, “I love you.”
“We hear babies cry, we watch them grow, They’ll learn much more, than We’ll ever know. And we think to ourselves, what a wonderful world.”
So, let’s think to ourselves, what a wonderful world.
Are you willing to think to yourself, “What a wonderful world?” by stopping to see all of the glory and wonders that surround you today.
Remember, “Do something wonderful, people may imitate it!”
