I Talk too Much!

I Talk too Much!

A quick Friday Wisdom Snack…

I cannot even get upset when my 11-year old daughter continues to talk to me about everything under the sun. She simply has a lot to say and I dare not ever stunt the gift in her by saying, “Stop talking so much!” I mean, she will most likely be a judge or prosecutor for sure.

As I consider myself, I talk too much as well. I mean, I am always telling people to not give up, keep going, fight on, be patient, you got this, you’re almost there and so on. Thing is, as I am speaking these words of life over others, I am building myself up. I am really grateful that I learned this in my early twenties when I ran across a simple and cheap book, “Does Your Tongue Need Healing?” that cost me less than $10 and literally changed my thinking. You do know that it takes some people a lifetime to learn basic things, right?

Words have power you know? They have the ability to shift the entire paradigm of our lives. You may want to pause here and reflect as I’ve just made a very powerful statement. And, as you are thinking, consider all of the children who believe exactly what they say and the end result. They get exactly what they speak and believe in their hearts.

We should always consider the words that are flowing out of our mouth’s and be certain that they are positive and full of blessings. I mean, if you desire to live a negative life, then, keep talking doom and gloom if you want to. But, for me, I am excited that I talk too much good stuff.

I’ve discussed this before because it is that important to me. I am consciously watching what I say, who I say it to and how I say it. As a reminder, “The tongue has no bones but is strong enough to break a heart or damage someone for a lifetime. So, be careful of what you say.”

Today, I double dare you to be like me and talk too much but, only speak greatness! Can you do it? Let me know in the comments below.

Wow! Such a short and powerful message to me this am. I got to change my words and thinking. As tears are flowing it’s learned behavior of self doubt and low confidence. Thank you.😍

Haha awesome sauce! I definitely don’t talk too much unless I need to prove a point because you’re sucking at life. I have never speak unless I need to and absolutely necessary. 🙂 I find it’s really proven beneficial in my life. Whew good luck with your future prosecuting daughter, lol 🙂 Have a great one Yulunda!! -Iva

    Great piece here, Yulunda!

You’re right – our words are powerful. And, we must consider our words before speaking them.

Will we use them positively or negatively? It’s certainly a choice. Though using them positively require more intention on our behalf, I’m with you on using them for good stuff. Using them positively.

Thank you again for the reminder to continue speaking greatness! I enjoyed reading.
