A Simple “Hello” Can Change the World

A Simple “Hello” Can Change the World

Smile

It’s no secret, I say, “Hello!” to every person I make contact with as often as I can as I know the power of a simple smile and that powerful word. People want to be acknowledged and seen and they need to know that someone see’s them and appreciates their existence. What better way to bring them into existence then by using the word hello? Side note: I absolutely get sheer joy speaking to maintenance men/women, housekeepers, etc. It took me a while to figure out why people always talk to me and randomly smile at me. It’s because I am smiling at them first.

Honestly, think about how you feel when someone takes the time to greet you in the proper manner. I wish we lived in a world where people were more intentional with personal acknowledgement as it has become so uncommon that some may mistake it for flirting, NOT!

Hello

If you really think about it, each and every person you come in contact with, you have the power to add a little happiness to their life. Just imagine if you were that one person who encouraged someone to keep going? No, it will not solve their problem but, I can guarantee you that it will lift their spirit.

Now, I’m not saying become a Hello Robot and try to speak with and to everyone, but, you will know who to speak to and who not to. It’s all in the natural flow of life, the way things should be without a lot of work. In fact, it should be easy to do and not fake in any manner.

Hello

Saying, “Hello!” is absolutely free and can change the course of not only someone else’s day, but your’s as well.

This week I challenge you to be very intentional and sincere with your smile. Besides, “A simple hello could lead to a million things.”

Move Forward In Righteousness XOXO

Hello Y! It’s Markisha from BLM and I want to first say i absolutely love the look and feel of your blog and to let you know how motivating this post is. My husband and i are on vacation and we’re just in a conversation about how disheartening it is for us when we try and reach out to other people of color and the reaction most times is kind of bitter. A smile goes a long way and doesn’t take much energy. I told my husband maybe they think we’re trying to sell them a timeshare, LOL.! I don’t know…but your post all put a smile on my face because i totally know where you are coming from.

    Stay Blesssed and stay Writeous!

Hello Beautiful Markisha, another fabulous BLM Girl! Vacation??? Wow, that is making me smile just thinking about it. Yes, the world need’s to show more love and a smile is so very universal yet sometimes rare. Kinda sad when you think about it. I found myself smiling even when I was at my lowest point in life.

I am absolutely loving the name of your blog and cannot wait to check it out. I posted a picture of FB that said, “I’m over forty and sexy!” people loved it.

Have a wonderful time and Godspeed!

      XOXO

You’re right about that – I know a few people at my job who are ALWAYS smiling and saying “hello.” I’m not one of those people but that’s because i’m an introvert and prefer my quiet time. I stay in my seat and when I do move it’s to visit folks I know or take a mental break from looking at a computer screen for a long period of time. Lol. You’d think human conversation would be welcomed after that, but no I prefer quiet. I can usually tell if someone needs to talk or needs attention and I address it situationally, if someone is distraught I can usually step in and see if they’re OK. I figure that’s good enough right? lol Have a great one lovely Yulunda! Keep smiling gorgeous -Iva
